Nice Job Patrick Kerney & Marcus Trufant
Laid By Chicken Skin On Sun 12/09/07 @ 04:38pm

Great game boys! Thanks for a hard run and another Championship award! Incredible job.

Your 12th Man Loves You!!

It was over when ...
Seahawks linebacker Lofa Tatupu intercepted A.J. Feeley's pass at the Seahawks 4-yard line with 23 seconds left. The Eagles' Bryan Westbrook had returned a punt 64 yards to the Seahawks' 14-yard line, setting up the potential winning touchdown. It was the second consecutive week that Feeley tossed an interception in the closing moments with the Eagles knocking on the door for a win.

Howard Smith / US PRESSWIRE
Lofa Tatupu was all over the field for the Seahawks on Sunday, recording three interceptions and 11 tackles.
» Tatupu video highlights

Game ball
Tatupu recorded three interceptions and led the Seahawks with 11 tackles. Fittingly, Tatupu intercepted Feeley's first pass of the day and his last one to help lock down the Seahawks' win.

Noteworthy
The Eagles went for the touchdown on fourth-and-1 at the end of the first half and were denied. ... Philadelphia turned the ball over on downs again at the Seattle 44 with two minutes left in the game.

Thank you too, Feely!!
We can make a special visitor egg for you....what color do you like?

I think brown sounds nice....

Burleson could, go, all, the, way!
Laid By The Farmer On Sun 11/04/07 @ 05:10pm

burleson goldeneggIt was a tight one today between Engram, Hasselbeck and Burleson for the egg winner.  In the end Burleson gets it.  He wanted that game bad.

His stats may not be that sexy (other than that crazy punt return), but he was  making tough catches and tough returns.

Thanks for fighting Burleson.

This day in history
Laid By The Farmer On Sun 11/04/07 @ 09:35am

 Found this on NFL.com today.

November 4

1984 — Seattle sets an NFL record by returning four interceptions for touchdowns in a 45-0 victory over Kansas City. Dave Brown scores twice while Kenny Easley and Keith Simpson also return interceptions for touchdowns. All of the scores are longer than 50 yards.

Changing Tide
Laid By The Farmer On Sat 11/03/07 @ 08:32am

We've all been used to the Hawks being an offensive team, so we just assume this is is the same as the past few.  But as I've watched the last couple of games its become apparent that the tide has changed.

The Hawks bread and butter is in defense and special teams.  I think this is one of the best defense I've ever seen in my years of watching the hawks.  I actually welcome having a more defense oriented team, its just hard adjusting to watching an impotent offense.

I got an email from one of the many hawk newsletters that I'm signed up for, and they had a mid-season review that really drives the point home if you look at our defense vs offense scoring ratings as well as the turnover margins:

NFL Statistics
as of 10/29

The Seahawks Offense Ranks:

16th in total offense - 324.9 yds/game
12th in passing yards - 232.3 yds/game
22nd in rushing yards - 92.6 yds/game
19th in scoring - 137 points scored
5th in turnover margin - +7 turnovers

The Seahawks Defense Ranks:

13th in total defense - 320.1 yds/game
16th in passing yards - 212.7 yds/game
13th in rushing yards - 107.4 yds/game
4th in scoring - 108 points against
4th in sacks - 23 total sacks

Seahawks drinking game
Laid By The Farmer On Fri 10/26/07 @ 09:37am

drinking gameI think we should device a Seahawk drinking game. I'm thinking inspiration from Three sheets, and the various Seinfeld drinking games. Have to try and figure out the right mix though so you aren't completely blitzed (ha ha ... blitzed) by halftime.

The Colonel had a great suggestion:
Every time Shaun takes a hit instead of going down or running out of bounds, we take a drink... ;)

So put on the thinking caps and put in your two cents, and we'll see if we can't flesh out a way to further enhance our Sunday experience.

Java Chicken this weeks winner
Laid By The Farmer On Fri 10/26/07 @ 09:29am

The winning prediction is:
Java Chicken (Seahawks: 16 Opponent: 9 for 14pts)

For the second time this season old Java Chicken drinks in a victory.  I'm starting to think he is either phsycic or not being  completely truthful about his football knowledge.
