Chicken Feed

drinking gameI think we should device a Seahawk drinking game. I'm thinking inspiration from Three sheets, and the various Seinfeld drinking games. Have to try and figure out the right mix though so you aren't completely blitzed (ha ha ... blitzed) by halftime.

The Colonel had a great suggestion:
Every time Shaun takes a hit instead of going down or running out of bounds, we take a drink... ;)

So put on the thinking caps and put in your two cents, and we'll see if we can't flesh out a way to further enhance our Sunday experience.

The winning prediction is:
Java Chicken (Seahawks: 16 Opponent: 9 for 14pts)

For the second time this season old Java Chicken drinks in a victory.  I'm starting to think he is either phsycic or not being  completely truthful about his football knowledge.

tapp goldeneggThe Rams offense is probably still shaking with fear from the terror that was Tapp on Sunday.  There is now doubt (with the exception of Burleson's kick return) that Tapp deserves this weeks egg.  It was defense that won that game for us, and with 5 tackles, 4 sacks, and a forced fumble Tapp was the one leading that charge.

I also really enjoyed listening to him in interviews after the game.  Nice to be able to root for a guy like that.

Great job.

Bobby Engram getse the GoldenEgg for the Saints game. That guy is amazing, just like your blanky when you were a kid. He is always there, makes you feel good to see, and never lets you down.

It sucks that we are down our two starters, but its nice to see Engram get a chance to shine.

This is just sad. The prediction winner (and I use the term winner loosely) this week wins it with a sad 4 points.  That is a new low for a winning score.

The winning prediction is:
The Outsider (Seahawks: 14 Opponent: 10 for 4pts)

I'm almost having trouble writing this over the smell of the big fat rotten egg that the Hawks laid today.  Even the seachickens teams of old would have been embarrassed by this ass whoopin.

Well, really it was the offense that laid the egg and the defense was stuck eating it.  We've gotten used to not being able to run this year, but tack on top of that the inability to complete passes to open receivers and you have one big old stinker.  The defense actually played incredibly well for a long time, but they got tired.  You can't blame them.  Here is the stat of the game:

Time Of Possesion
Seattle 19:15 to Steelers 40:45

That is a testament to just how impotent the offense was.

You know you wins the golden egg this week?  NO ONE!!!! I can't bring myself to reward anybody for that train wreck I just watched.  Here's your darn egg Hawks:

Its our chance to let out a year and a half's aggression.  I'm already getting goosebumps for next Sunday.

peterson golden eggMan that dude feels he has something to prove against his old team.  Makes me wonder what was said to him as an excuse for trading him away.  Whatever it is, I like the fire it lights under his butt.  He was a monster out there yesterday.

4 tackles, 3 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles, not to mention the many plays that don't make it into a stat.  Wow!!

The other close contender was Trufant, but really everyone on the defense deserves a big thumbs up.

Chicken Skin is the big prediction winner for the 49er game this week. Good job CS Laughing

The winning prediction is:
Chicken Skin (Seahawks: 23 Opponent: 10 for 18pts)

But this is not her first time in the winner's circle.  She was part fo the week one 3 way tie.  This has got to put her near the top for the season total.

Sports fans rejoice!  Despite the close of a disappointing Mariners season, an embarrassing World Cup semi-finals loss by the US Women's soccer team and more news about Alexander's injury, the Hawks have a chance to chase away those NW blustery winds and grey skies by pounding the 49ers into the ground on Sunday.

I'm looking for Hasselbeck, Branch & Co. to bring out the Heat and take advantage of a 49er team that was humbled by Pittsburgh last week.  I want to see Tatupu and Peterson introducing Smith to field turf on a regular basis.  I want to see guys flying around and making the kind of plays that make you go "OOO!".  I want to see a blow out.

So come on Hawks--bust out the hardware so I can recapture that warm and fuzzy feeling to compliment my comfort beers!

The Colonel
