Gonna try starting up a new segment here at the Chicken Coop.  Fantasy Friday!  We'll focus on the how we think the Hawks will do in a fantasy sense.

I heard that they were gonna be having special online coverage for tonight's opening game, so I just had to sneak a peak.  My verdict: great concept, kinda sucky execution.

It's super cool to have 5 different angles on the game, and to be able to see them all at once.  Its also super cool to have the game stats at hand without having to leave the game.  Unfortunately the streams were extremely choppy which made it aggrivating to watch.  If they can straighten out the kinks, this thing could really rock.

One other thing that made me unable to watch it, though is kudos for the service, was the fact that the streams were a few seconds ahead of my cable HD of the show.  How is streaming 5 different angles of the game faster than one single feed through cable?  But I would catch what happened a few seconds earlier from the choppy low def stream, and it kind of diminish my viewing enjoyment of the HD version, so I turned it off.

If I was not in front of a TV, this would have been a life saver.  And once they work out the kinks, this will be an awesome thing.  I hope it's a sign of where football coverage is going.

It was over when ...
Seahawks linebacker Lofa Tatupu intercepted A.J. Feeley's pass at the Seahawks 4-yard line with 23 seconds left. The Eagles' Bryan Westbrook had returned a punt 64 yards to the Seahawks' 14-yard line, setting up the potential winning touchdown. It was the second consecutive week that Feeley tossed an interception in the closing moments with the Eagles knocking on the door for a win.

Howard Smith / US PRESSWIRE
Lofa Tatupu was all over the field for the Seahawks on Sunday, recording three interceptions and 11 tackles.
» Tatupu video highlights

Game ball
Tatupu recorded three interceptions and led the Seahawks with 11 tackles. Fittingly, Tatupu intercepted Feeley's first pass of the day and his last one to help lock down the Seahawks' win.

Noteworthy
The Eagles went for the touchdown on fourth-and-1 at the end of the first half and were denied. ... Philadelphia turned the ball over on downs again at the Seattle 44 with two minutes left in the game.

Thank you too, Feely!!
We can make a special visitor egg for you....what color do you like?

I think brown sounds nice....

 Found this on NFL.com today.

November 4

1984 — Seattle sets an NFL record by returning four interceptions for touchdowns in a 45-0 victory over Kansas City. Dave Brown scores twice while Kenny Easley and Keith Simpson also return interceptions for touchdowns. All of the scores are longer than 50 yards.

Another season, another lingering injury hurting performance, another cracked bone.  I feel like I've already seen this one.

Thats right chickens, that club on his arm is protecting a cracked bone in his wrist:

I just discovered today that Deion Branch has his own website.

www.deionbranch83.com

Seems like its still a little wet behind the ears, but you can donate to his foundation and buy Branch gear. He also has a forum in which it appears he is monitoring himself. I let him know in there about his winning of the Golden Egg, so hopefully he'll know about our rooting for him. Be sure to swing by there and drop him a line.

This is a blog post I read that really hit me how right on it is...Interesting Comparison between Vick and Pete Rose..

"Pete Rose bet on the sport. To the best of my knowledge, he did not OWN THE BETTING VENUE. He was a better. Not a booky and promoter. Just a guy addicted to gambling.
Now this loser SOB vic, let's compare them shall we. Vic OWNED the kennel where the dogs were trained. He went and found dogs to fight, brought them back and tortured them and starved them until they would rip anything to shreds. Fed them gunpowder and beat them regularly. Kidnapped and or otherwise aquired "practice dogs" for the vicious fighting dogs to rip apart. Think BENJI here folks, think taco bell dog, think TOTO from the wizard of oz. Think of all the blood washed down this demons drains?????????? And this he PAID 100's of THOUSANDS of dollars to CREATE, and PROMOTE, and NURTURE this EVIL. He did not stumble and trip and land in a dog fighting arena. He bought the land, built the arena, invited the guests, trained and provided the "entertainment", and made money off this perversion of power. SO THIS GUY IS BEYOND GUILTY.
Pete Rose was and IS a real nice guy compared to this PIG. It is a major insult to Pete to compare him to this type of hell promoter. I never heard of Pete drawing blood or torturing living creatures. Rose was a gambler, vic is a DEMON
AND - Rose was WHITE and BANNED FOR LIFE - so this is not a "cuz he's black issue"
His spirit is DARK, has nothing at all to do with his skin color."

I hope some justice is served on December 10th 2007! I will check in then.
