Kenny McIntosh Tore His ACL at Camp Last July. Seattle Waived Him Monday Night.
The Seahawks waived running back Kenny McIntosh on Monday, ESPN’s Brady Henderson reported and the team confirmed shortly after. He was on the active/physically unable to perform list at the time, still working back from the knee he blew out on this same grass last summer. No corresponding move was made, so Seattle woke up Tuesday with 89 players and an open chair.

Two days earlier, Macdonald had been asked about him and said there was no timetable, that it was a tough injury, that they were going on almost a year now, and that McIntosh was rehabbing and working hard. All true. All beside the point by Monday night. Charbonnet is also on PUP, and a team three weeks from a preseason opener needs bodies who can take a handoff this week, not in November.
The career line is brutal in how ordinary it is. Seventh-round pick out of Georgia in 2023, knee injury in his first camp, three games and 13 special teams snaps as a rookie. In 2024 he finally got healthy and played in every game, mostly on teams, and finished with 31 carries for 172 yards. Then last July 26 the other knee went.

Rylie Mills got into the backfield repeatedly. “I’m really happy for him,” Macdonald said, per the team site. “He’s the type of guy that you’re going to feel his spirit out here and his competitiveness.” That is coach-speak for a second-year lineman making veterans work in July, on a front where there is almost nowhere to stand.
Attendance notes, because it’s camp and this is what we do now: Tory Horton and DeMarcus Lawrence both sat, Lawrence likely just taking a veteran’s day off, and rookie corner Julian Neal left early after the training staff got to him. Macdonald’s review of the whole thing was cheerfully bleak. A lot of stuff to work on, a long way to go, and could everyone please finish a practice properly.

Per ESPN’s camp file, Seattle’s coaches take turns delivering the talk at the morning team meeting. Somewhere in Renton there is an assistant who has been rehearsing his eight minutes since June, and I hope with my whole heart the cameras were rolling for it. ESPN

One practice. Four bodies. San Francisco opened camp and immediately lost tackle Vederian Lowe to a high ankle sprain, receiver Christian Kirk to a calf strain, tackle Gracen Halton to a bone bruise and lineman Andrew Farmer II to a back issue, all of them out for the second session. Then a rookie pass rusher got carted off before the team clarified it was cramps. Nobody was even in pads. That building doesn’t need a training staff, it needs an exorcist.

Arizona blinked. Jacoby Brissett, who negotiates his own contracts, got his money on Sunday: $15.5 million for 2026, up to $21 million with incentives, after being slated for a $4.9 million base. He told reporters the stress had him down to about three hours of sleep a night. He can rest now. He plays four games against this division.

Ahman Green. He was stuck behind Ricky Watters in Seattle, went to Green Bay at 23, and made the Pro Bowl every year from 2001 through 2004. Vinson played a grand total of zero games for the Seahawks.
